Many years ago my husband and I traveled to Thailand on our honeymoon. I pointed out that this may be our last overseas trip. I mean, who wants to travel with kids? Hubby pointed out all the people with children. We met people backpacking across Asia with their 6 month old. It started to occur to me that kids did not mean the end of life as I knew it. Fast forward 4 years later and we had our own newborn to lug around. We traveled to Australia, the USA (twice) and a three trip around the SA border. That's not including countless weekends away. Since the second rugrat arrived 4 years after the first, we have continued to travel as often as we can.
We don't stick to one type of travel, I have hiked, backpacked, stayed in hotels, camped, stayed in self-catering spots and timeshare places, all of this with kids. It can be done and on any budget. This blog will show you how.
This week, I have an awesome trip to Champagne Sports Resort to report on. A great spot for holidays with kids.
Next Wednesday I will be chatting about essentials for car trips with a newborn.
The 22nd will be a post about Sodwana or what to do with the kids when your husband wants to go to diving. Wish me luck, a long weekend at Sodwana is always insanely busy and my personal version of hell.
The 29th I will be posting ideas for car trips with kids and holiday essentials.
Let me know if there is anything that you would like to see. I plan on launching a Youtube channel to compliment the blog in the near future.
